Powder coating is a paint application consisting of fine, dry powder pigment and resin. It is applied electro-statically to metal parts and heated to a temperature of approximately 400°F.

The powder reacts at this high temperature, resulting in a beautifully-smooth, highly-durable finish. Our complex process requires a phosphate wash, rinse, and dry-off before proceeding to the coating booth.

Powder coating has many advantages over liquid paint applications. This includes producing a more durable and corrosion-resistant finish.

Powder coating is also a more environmentally-friendly choice as it eliminates the need for an evaporating liquid paint carrier and cleaning solvents.

Powder coating material is free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), so they do not pose a danger to us or to our environment.

In addition, with only a single application, powder coating finishes last much longer than liquid paint applications.

We are surrounded by powder coated parts. Patio furniture, store shelving, fencing, automotive components, light fixtures, appliances, and architectural installations are all items that are commonly powder coated to provide superior corrosion resistance and durability.

We provide metal stripping services by way of sandblasting or chemical stripping.

The three standard resin bases for powder coatings are: polyester, epoxy and polyester-epoxy hybrid. Epoxy and hybrid coatings are best suited for interior applications. While they provide a highly durable finish, they cannot tolerate exposure to direct sunlight.

Polyester coatings are designed for direct UV exposure and can be used for outdoor applications. Super durable polyester coatings take this a step further and can withstand the elements for many years.

As a custom powder coater, we can match hundreds of colours using our large, in-stock selection of powders or by leveraging resources from our many powder suppliers.

With high, medium, and low gloss, metallic, textured and clear powders, there are a variety of powder coating finishes to meet every project need.

Our most common colours are black and white; from high gloss to low gloss, smooth to textured finishes.
